We at MRIS celebrate each and every festival with great zeal as the festivals create an environment of cultural harmony and teach us to forget our enmity and embrace one another in a bond of love. We understand that right from childhood the children should be a part of these festivals and should know the importance of celebrations. This helps them understand the rituals of each festival and develop a liking for them.
Keeping this in mind MRIS Sector 14 celebrated Hartalika Teej which is seen as a major festival and is celebrated in North India with great fervor. To acquaint the Early Year students with the essence of the festival the students were taken to the area which was beautifully uplifted with bangles, colorful dupattas, decorative pots and a swing decorated with flowers in the school premises. The children came dressed up in their traditional outfits and got the festival food- ghewar to share with friends. The teachers involved the kids in singing, dancing and talented students of higher grades applied henna on the little hands of the children. It was a pleasure to witness the festivity and galore which made the whole environment lively and colourful!
