Nature acts as a mother to each one of us. It pampers and cajoles us. Our kids enjoy the magic and colorful vibrancy in nature. Lush green plants in the arena, blue skies, playing in the mud and puddles provide a wonderful satiation to their curiosity. Though Mother Nature in its purest form is useful for us but with the rise in different kinds of pollution and adulteration of products, we need to be aware of its risks. To encourage a healthy lifestyle and to sensitize the kids towards the benefits of consuming natural products that we get from plants, the theme “The green world around us” was introduced in the class.
Various activities like germination of seeds were conducted to make the theme more interesting for our little ones, wherein the students got seeds and sowed them in the soil. They take care of them by sprinkling water every day and observe them growing each day with curiosity and enthusiasm. Icing on the cake was the ‘Little Chef Day ‘activity for the little kindergarteners wherein the children donned their chef caps and prepared their favourite salad using the ingredients of their choice. The presented their yummy salad on the platter and enjoyed eating it.
It’s aptly stated that the learning should not be restricted within the four walls, so the visit to the Patanjali store which is the largest manufacturing unit of health products made from the natural things gifted to us by the Nature, was also organized.
