It is believed, “Educating the heart is important as educating the mind.” Keeping this in sync with the viewpoint workshop on Flipped Learning Classrooms was organised for the Teachers of Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana. Online workshop was conducted by Prof. M.M Pant, Former Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Indira Gandhi National Open University, Founder-LMP Education Trust. A staff of 45 Teachers, Headmistress and the School Principal Dr. Rupali Saini attended the workshop.

Prof. Pant stated that the notion of a flipped classroom draws on concepts such as active learning, experiential learning, student engagement, hybrid course design and course podcasting.

He also shared that in the flipped classroom, students complete learning normally covered in the classroom in their own time (by watching videos and/or accessing resources), and classroom time is dedicated to hands-on activities and interactive, personalised learning, leading to deeper understanding.

Students use class time to apply the theory and concepts discussed in the videos, and to utilise techniques, including group problem-solving and team-building games, simulations, case study reviews, and group discussions.

The flipped classroom is a blended learning model that requires more than dividing a course into face-to-face and online components. One of the biggest advantage of flipped learning is that it makes the students active learner. He discussed on various themes.
