Manav Rachna International School Sec-51, Gurugram took pride in organizing ‘8th ROLLER SKATING BEGINNERS’ MEET’ on December 20, 2017. Skatingis not only a sport but also an art form and a lifestyle, and such events groom the all-round personality of the students.
The school principal Ms. Pooja Puri, encouraged all the participants and motivated them to play with a sportsman spirit. The school dance group showcased an energetic and enthusiastic dance performance which was applauded by the audience. The school gave a festive look with flags and banners adding colours to the venue.
Schools from all over Gurugram participated in the competition. The students of primary section participated in different events. The competition was held in the categories of adjustable skates. In this event, more than 170 participants from 8 schools participated. MRIS-51, Gurugram won the overall championship and Greenwood Public School, Sector 9, Gurugram bagged the Runner’s up trophy.
The day ended on a note of mixed emotions where the winners showed their jubilation while others appeared more determined to do better next year.
