Republic Day was celebrated at Manav Rachna International School, Sec-21 (MRIS-21C) Faridabad with full enthusiasm and an inherent spirit of patriotism. Students brought tri-coloured food in their tiffins and chanted ‘Jai Hind’. A special assembly to mark the importance of this day was conducted at the school. They were informed about the importance of this national festival that aroused a feeling of pride and nationalism in each one present there.
The dance medley presentation, based on patriotic songs, left everyone spellbound. A quiz based on India was conducted for the students and it was heartening to see that the children were aware and could answer most of the questions correctly. The students were also explained about the importance of the Constitution of India. They also did some craft work in the classes to mark the occasion.
The Students were encouraged to watch the celebrations and parade that take place at the Rajpath, New Delhi. The celebrations ended with the students taking a pledge to serve their country and saying that they are proud to be Indians.
