The camp was inaugurated by Mr Amarjit Kataria, DSP, Madhuban Range, Karnal. Also present on the occasion were Mr Rajesh Kalra, Chairman, MRIS 51; Mr Gaurav Rai, Executive Director, MRIS 51& MRIS Ludhiana along with the Principal Ms Pooja Puri and other staff members. The program began with a classical dance presentation followed by a melodious song presentation.
The efforts turned out to be productive when more than 100 people donated their blood. The donors were provided with refreshments and a certificate of appreciation for this service to humanity. A majority of those participating in the camp constituted the parents of students and staff of school. There were quite a few volunteers who donated blood for the first time.
A Comprehensive Health Talk on “Common Health Issues of Women” was also organised for all the mothers and grandmothers of the students. Dr. Aruna Kalra was the guest speaker on the topic Obstetrics and Gynecology. The session covered some common women health issues and methods that could be followed to lead a healthy life in today’s hectic and over demanding schedule. A Nukkad Natak was
