We at Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana firmly believe that “A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in school and the child is the centre of our universe.” In the expedition to provide quality education to its students and to bring two most imperative factors of the child`s journey of education i.e. Parents and Teachers, closer to one another, an Orientation Programme was organized on 19th of March,2018. The arena was buzzing with anxious Parents eager to be acquainted with ethos and culture of the school.
The session was well attended by a legion of parents commenced with Lighting of the Lamp by Dr. Roopali Trehan, Director MRIS, Ludhiana and Dr. Rupali Saini Principal, MRIS, Ludhiana followed by the Gayatri Mantra. Ms. Malka Kaur Grewal led the session by a welcome address, made the gathering aware of the changing scenario in education, the culture and the working atmosphere of the school elaborated the spirit of the school and touched upon the concepts and values ingrained in the curriculum.
The event proceeded with the visual presentation by Early Year`s coordinator Ms. Charu Behl. The supplementary information disseminated by her further explicated the pattern for ensuring holistic development of students in the crucial year of their growth. Following the presentation was the demonstration for the“Jolly Phonics” by all the Early Year`s Teachers. A session on Good Parenting was taken by the School Counsellor, Ms. Geetanjali Kalia. She shared the do’s and don’ts to be taken care of as a Parent.
School Principal Dr. Rupali Saini addressed the Parents and underscored the crucial role of Parents in a child`s education and to make Parents acquainted with what their ward would be exposed to in the school. She said that at MRIS, Ldh we offer a wide and varied curriculum taught by enthusiastic, talented staff and our goal is to have all our students realise their potential.
All the parents were highly appreciative of the well-organized Orientation Programme.
