Tech Innovations by MRIS, Ludhiana students displayed at Parent Educator Conference.
Techno feeds a basic human urge, Techno is the voice of our soul, and Techno made us do it – MRIS, Ludhiana Students.
More than 35 projects have been worked upon by the students of Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana in a very short span of seven months under the guidance of “TECHNO-PLANET” Engineers. All the projects were displayed and demonstrated by the students on the day of Parent Educator Conference. The children explained the functioning and working of their projects to the parents.
The students of Grade VI successfully tried their hands on various projects such as Audio system and Power Bank. A DIY laptop was assembled by Krish Kalra of Grade VI using raspberry pi and a memory card. Krish has prepared a Google assistant which recognizes the speaker’s voice and responds to the question asked through Google voice. Mechanical Car, Robo Race, Beetle Bot and LED Lamp were some of the projects that left parents awe-struck and amazed.
Steady hand -a game was prepared by the students of Grade-VIII. A Line follower robot(LFR)- project made by Grade IX students which is an autonomous robot and follows either black line in white area or white line in black area. Other devices and models that were created included Smart Pot and Aero Model.
The little masters of Grade I-V tried their hands on Lego -consisting of several projects with different learning outcomes, such as See Saw, Raft, Snow, hockey robot, Sam’s new dog, Pinwheel, Spinning top, Measuring car and many more. Bee-Bot an exciting new robot was also designed for use by the young children. This colorful, easy-to-operate, and friendly little robot is a perfect tool for teaching sequencing, estimation, understanding language & problem-solving.
Many activities were also organized for the students such as Snapper Circuits where in curious young minds can learn the basics of electronics as they build more than 100 exciting projects with this kit. Geoboard is a mathematical manipulative that helped them to explore basic concepts in plane geometry such as perimeter, area and the characteristics of triangles and other polygons with the help of rubber bands. Students also learnt about the basic tools like spanner and screw driver.
Dr. Rupali Saini, Principal, MRIS-Ludhiana said that the school provides opportunities to every child to hone their skill in various aspects as per their area of interest. She appreciated the efforts of the students and the technicians for their dedication and hard work put in the projects.
