Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana conducted an Orientation Programme for the Parents of the new entrants on 28th March 2018. The session was well attended by a legion of Parents and triggered off with lighting of lamp by School Director Dr. Roopali Trehan, Ms. Sanyogita Sharma, Director, MRIS and Faculty of Education; Dr. Rupali Saini, Principal of the school & Mr. Mohit Bahl, Director, Techno Planet Lab Pvt. Ltd.
The event proceeded with the visual presentation by Ms. Puja Verma, Primary Wing Coordinator, providing the parents with an insight of school curriculum. The parents were briefed about the rules and regulations of the school and were given an overview of the various subjects, activities and clubs that their children will be offered to choose from.
Ms. Sanyogita Sharma, emphasized upon the importance of “Integrated Learning” at MRIS and said that MRIS has a different vision towards education focusing on the child centered learning.
A session on TECHNO SKILL -the latest approach in modern education was conducted by Mr. Mohit Bahl, Director – Techno Planet Lab Pvt Ltd. He briefed the parents about: CORE ENGINEERING SKILLS and AUDIO VISUAL SKILLS. The session was followed by Crest Lead, Ms. Priya Pant who briefed the parents about the CREST curriculum which is an innovative method to provide chunks of world history at the primary level.
Principal Dr. Rupali Saini apprised parents about the curriculum, examination pattern, and evaluation of the Middle School Students. She informed that the curriculum involves self-directed, hands-on learning activities which help in the all-round development of the child.
Ms. Charu Behl, Early Years Coordinator apprised the Parents with curriculum for EY introducing Literacy for language development, Numeracy for numbers, Personal Social Development, Physical Development, IPC which is International Primary Curriculum and is theme based, along with the different learning centres within the school.
The program was designed to acquaint the parents with the school’s philosophy and curriculum besides acquainting them with the faculty under whose tutelage the students would commence their landmark journey at school. It was an opportunity for the parents to familiarize themselves with the directives, rules, academic curriculum and the examination pattern that would be followed henceforth. They also got a chance to interact with the respective class teachers.
