“True guidance is like a small lamp in a dark forest. It doesn’t show everything at once but gives enough light for the next step.”
The unique MRIS Learning System trains children to widen their intellectual boundaries and helps them connect the unconventional activities with the conventional ones. The Techno Expo event is a regular showcase where students showcase how technology takes their mind and thinking to the next level. More than 28 projects have been worked upon by the students of Manav Rachna International School, Ludhiana in one month under the guidance of “TECHNO-PLANET” technicians- Mr. Jasdeep Singh, Ms. Pavneet Kaur & Ms. Digjyot Kaur. All the projects were displayed and demonstrated by the students on the day of Parent Educator Conference.
The children explained the functions and working of each project to the parents and successfully tried their hands on various projects such as an antique modern LED lamp with a bookshelf, Snake Lamp, Candle Stand, and Table Stand (that works on batteries). Students also created a Garbage Bin- a step towards Swachh Bharat to spread the message- ‘Lets together make environment clean’. Other uniquely designed projects included bedside table, study table and chair, accessories and scarf holder, lawn glass cutter and many more.
The fling for football in the students motivated them to create Soccer Goal. The senior students stated that as add on to the excitement of the little kids for the parties organized by the school, they have created a Rain Dance Shower which actually showers as rain.
The school also believes that dreams may feel mixed up and undefined at the moment but that’s only because they exist purely as thoughts. The process of painting dreams and spending time thinking about them helps to bring more clarity and allow them to turn it into a reality. Mehul Jerath of Grade-VII did different kinds of art using various mediums such as bottle art using tissues, Egg Shells &Warli Paintings followed by a series of paintings on Egyptian Art. He made decorative trays with Doodle art on them, Shilpkar on canvas was another attraction to the parents who visited the exhibition. Coffee beads converted into colour was used as a medium and beautiful coffee paintings were prepared.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rupali Saini, Principal said that the school provides ample opportunities to every child to hone their skill in various aspects as per their area of interest. The Principal also remarked that everyone at MRIS are very enthusiastic and looking forward to working with students to make the optimum usage of their skills and technology as technology has a prominent place in Manav Rachna International Schools.
