Music, at its essence, is what gives us memories. And the longer a song has existed in our lives, the more memories we have of it. It is a known fact that music is the best method of relaxation. MRIS-14, Faridabad has a motto to develop child’s intellectual, social, emotional, motor language, overall literacy skills therefore an Inter-Class Solo Singing Competition was organized for Grade VI and Grade VIII.
The students enthusiastically participated in the competition and chose the super hit Retro songs and Semi-classical songs. The audience was enthralled by the melodious songs. It was evident that each child had worked really hard to comprehend the lyrics and sang with conviction. The students focused to show their mastery over voice modulation, rhythm and the selection of song.
At the end of the programme, Vice Principal, Dr. Shalini Bindra emphasized the importance of singing and stated that it reduces stress, brings joy in life and improves mental alertness. She motivated the students to participate in such competitions as they boost confidence.
