Students of Grade-3 South Africa celebrated Friendship Day in school to show their respect and love to their friends. The day started with a welcome note by the students wherein they enlightened all the students with the numerous names for friendship in different languages. The students thanked the almighty for such great friends. Students also shared some facts about Friendship Day as to when, why and how the day is celebrated. Students expressed their feelings by reciting a beautiful poem based on friendship followed by a short skit on ‘True Friends’ and a song. The students were successful in delivering the moral through their skit on ‘Socrates’ that friends should act together and then they will be happy. The assembly concluded with a mime dance which portrayed the bond of friendship and elated the mood of the audience. At the end, words of wisdom were shared with the students by the Headmistress
