“Siblings are like street lights along the road. They don’t make the distance short, but they surely lighten up the path and make the walk worthwhile.”

Each Indian festival is important and the thread of Rakhi nurtures the most pious relationship: the bond between a brother and a sister. Rakshabandhan not only signifies the same, but also provides an insight into the rich culture and traditions that we follow in India. It is a day when siblings pray for each other’s well-being and wish for each other’s happiness and good health. To celebrate this day, students of Early Years, at Manav Rachna International School-Mohali, not only made Rakhis but were also enlightened about the importance of this festival in context of the never fading love that brothers and sisters share.

The children were thrilled to take their beautiful creations back home to their siblings and parents!
