We, at MRIS, believe in integrating value based learning along with the academic curriculum. The world is a fascinating place. Children are curious beings who love to learn about their environment. They show keen interest not only by observing birds and animals, but also mimicking them. It is important to help the children learn to care for the environment and make them aware of how to do it. We, at Manav Rachna, believe that this is the right age to start instilling a lifelong interest in nature. Under the theme ‘It’s Yummy’ our little ones from Toddlers @ MRIS 21C Faridabad, had fun creating Bird feeders, which beside being fun was also a great learning experience for them. The children were explained that like us, the birds also need food and water to survive. The feathered friends were in for a yummy snack party. The snacks were made from homemade bird food that included pieces of brown bread, chapatti, rice, bajara and peanuts, all ground together to form a coarse powder. These bird feeders were hung on the branches of trees in the school lawn. The children were super excited to see birds around pecking on the feeders.
