The staff of MRIS-46, Gurugram attended the workshop conducted by CBSE on Inclusion and inclusive strategies. The trainers Dr. Reena Malwia, Lady Irwin College and Ms. Sudha Acharya , Principal ITL Schools effectively and effortlessly imparted valuable information to use.
The workshop made the audience understand the difference between inclusion and integration. A detailed discussion was done on various disabilities and how necessary changes can be incorporated in the lesson plan to benefit all the students which is popularly known as Universal Design of Learning- UDL.
Provisions given by CBSE for various disabilities were also touched upon. The two-day workshop was concluded with the thought process that each one will take a small step towards bringing necessary changes in their respective schools. Most importantly, trying to break mental barriers and having a strong will to change particularly the attitudes of the society as a whole.
