A much-needed workshop on the above topic was conducted by Mr Yuvraj Sharma, a renowned theatre personality and Mrs Goldy Malhotra. Right from the conception of a function to be held in the school up to the aftermath of the program was discussed in details. Mrs Goldy Malhotra started with the purpose, plan, design and execution of the several functions that are held in different schools. To bring in the sophistication and class the need to have the flawless flow of the entire program and the methodologies to follow the same were provided by her in the workshop. She gave immense importance to the role of teachers to work jointly for grooming the students to be in the forefront for conducting the entire show.
Mr Yuvraj taught the methods of selecting appropriate items and making them suitable for different occasions. He provided tips on adaptation procedures and improvisations. His lessons on blocking of a play, set designs, lighting, costumes and make-up were found to be of great significance. Dealing with the sound and light arrangements was also taught to the relevant teachers. Both the resource persons repeatedly reinforced that every child should be given chance to appear on stage as a tool to make them confident. Sixty teachers from different branches of MRIS attended the workshop.
They discussed certain challenges faced by them and got the answers for the same.
