Science is a perpetual search for an intelligent and integrated comprehension of the world we live in. It is the systematic classification of experience. Keeping this in mind, the learning of science was made more realistic and interesting by conducting different science activities in Grade V and VI in MRIS Sector14.

If the Grade V students were engaged in an interesting Balloon Activity, Grade VI students were involved having fun with magnets. The Grade V students learnt that when we mix baking powder and vinegar, a chemical reaction takes place and it produces a new substance i.e. carbon dioxide . This gas when liberated inflates the balloon fixed on the mouth of the bottle.

The students of grade VI learnt about the different types of magnets, their properties and how magnets are used to find the directions in a play way method. They also got the opportunity to locate the directions using a magnetic compass.

The children enjoyed doing these activities and were able to grasp the related concepts in a better and interesting way.
