Basant Panchami is a festival dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge, music and art. The colour yellow plays an important role in this festival as Yellow represents spiritual knowledge, increasing the significance of the festival. On this day, people usually wear yellow garments and worship Goddess Saraswati who is dressed in yellow. Yellow food and sweets are consumed within the families. The Early Year students celebrated this festival as they came beautifully dressed in the shades of yellow, worshipped Goddess Saraswati and brought yellow food as a part of their lunch.
